Meet our Pastor

First Baptist Church Guests and Visitors,

My wife and I would like to introduce ourselves to you.  I am Randy Ratliff, with my wife Pam.  Pam and I have been married for 33 years, and have been in ministry for 30 years.  We moved to Blackwell from Ponca City, where I served as the Associate Pastor / Minister of Education at Northeast Baptist Church. Pam is employed with the Ponca City Public Schools in Personnel. We have one son, Joshua who lives in Arkansas and attends University of Arkansas Medical School.

We are excited about our ministry at FBC and the city of Blackwell.  We prayed for this church for several years before God graciously called us to be the pastor.  Pam and I take our ministry very seriously, and we consider it is a privilege and honor to serve you. We believe that every one is important;  and we love meeting and serving with church members as well as greeting guests and first time visitors.  The Scriptures declare that the Lord has gifted each member of the church and placed them as He wills. That means every members and every visitor has been entrusted to our care.  We realize that there are members who haven’t been attending, and some who may be attending services elsewhere right now.  But our desire is to serve your needs and to meet each of you individually, whether you are attending here or not. If you have a need, a crisis, or a spiritual problem please let us know.  We can’t promise we know all the answers, but we will certainly try to assist you and will pray with you.

We are praying for each of you. Our goal is to serve the Lord at FBC by focusing on 4 main things:  sharing the gospel with love and compassion, lifting high the name of Jesus in worship, teaching and preaching the authority of God’s Word, and praying with fervency. Pam and I are passionate about our own walk with Christ and we pray that God will bind all of our hearts together in love, mercy, and forbearance.  We are not perfect, but we will try to treat every person with respect and love.

We look forward to meeting all of you personally;  we pray that our ministry will be a blessing to you and your family.

 Yours in Christ,
Pastor T. Randy and Pam Ratliff
